1. How to factory reset my device
- Open the ‘App’ icon.
- Select ‘Settings’.
- Press ‘Back-up & Reset’ under the ‘General’ tab.
- Tap ‘Factory Data Reset’.
- Press ‘Reset Phone’.
- Then, confirm by pressing ‘Delete All’.
The device will then restart.
Warning: Doing a factory reset will clear the entire phone of all its data, images and accounts.



2A. How to change to a new background image
- Hold down an empty space on the screen.
- Open the ‘Wallpaper’ tab.
- Choose and click on the wallpaper to replace the current one with.


2B. How to change brightness
Option 1:
- Drag down the header.
- Press on the brightness icon. Each time it is pressed, it will adjust it to one of a couple brightness levels.


Option 2:
- Press the ‘Apps’ menu on the main screen.
- Press ‘Settings’.
- Under the ‘Display’ tab, adjust the ‘Brightness’ bar to the desired level.


2C. How to adjust screen timeout time
- Tap the ‘Apps’ menu icon.
- Select ‘Settings’.
- Click on the ‘Display’ tab.
- Then press on ‘Screen Timeout’.
- Adjust the screen timeout time as desired.


2D. How to add or remove a widget
To add a widget:
- Hold down an empty area on the main screen.
- Press on the ‘Widgets’ tab.
- Each widget takes up an amount of space as written under its name. Choose the widget to add and drag it towards your choice of screen. There may be multiple screens available.
- To move a widget, you must press it for a moment and then drag it to the desired location.



To remove a widget:
- Hold and drag the desired widget to the ‘Remove’ icon above.


2E. How to lock device with a PIN
- Press on the ‘Apps’ icon.
- Select ‘Settings’.
- Press on the ‘Display’ tab.
- Choose ‘Select Screen Lock’
- Choose the desired method of screen lock.
- Enter the Pin or Password and press ‘Next’.
- Confirm the Pin or Password by re-entering it.
- Then, Press ‘OK’
- Choose the notifications that you desire to see when the screen is locked.
- Press ‘OK’.





To undo the Pin or Password:
- Do earlier steps.
- Press ‘Select Screen Lock’
- Enter the Pin or Password to access the options and press ‘Next’.
- Select the ‘None’ option to have no screen lock activated, or press ‘Swipe’ to have a lock without a password. To switch screen lock methods, pick the one you desire and do the steps you did originally to set it up.



3. How to find my phone number
- Press on the ‘Apps’ icon.
- Tap ‘Settings’.
- Next, press ‘About Phone’.
- Tap ‘Phone Number’.
- Read the phone number or IMEI.



4. How to change the volume
Option 1:
- Press the volume keys on the side of the device.
- The up button will higher the volume.

5. How to add an app or delete it
First you must set up a Google account prior to being able to install apps.
To add an app:
- Tap on the ‘Play Store’ app.
- Type in the app to install or look for ideas in categories listed towards the upper half of the screen.
- You may press on the desired app to learn more about it and then install it by pressing ‘Install’.
- To install, tap the 3 dots near the app name and press ‘Install’.
- Press ‘Accept’.
- Drag the app to the desired location and screen.




To remove an app:
- Go to the ‘Apps’ menu.
- Hold down the app you’d like to uninstall.
- Drag the app and drop it on the ‘Uninstall’ icon at the top of the screen.
- Press ‘Yes’.



6. How to set a calendar event or delete it
To add a calendar event:
- Tap on the ‘Calendar’ app.
- Press the (+) icon to add an event.
- Fill in the events name, date and it’s starting and finishing times.
- Add notes or more details as desired.
- Tap ‘Save’




To delete a calendar event:
- Open the ‘Calendar’ app.
- Tap on the day that has the event you’d like to delete.
- Press on the events name.
- Press on the ‘Delete’ icon.
- Then, tap ‘Yes’ to confirm.



7. How to turn on or off airplane mode
- Tap the ‘Apps’ menu icon.
- Press ‘Settings’.
- Toggle the bar near ‘Airplane mode’ to the ON position.
- Press ‘OK’
- To disable: Press the toggle bar once more.
Airplane Mode disables all forms of Data, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi. It will also block any incoming calls or texts. The notifications will show once airplane mode is turned off.



8. How to take a picture
- Tap on the ‘Camera’ app.
- Point the device towards what you’d like to photograph.
- Tap the screen to take the picture
- To view the image:
- While in the Camera app, tap on the icon on the bottom right of the screen.


9A. How to see available storage amounts
- Tap the ‘Apps’ menu.
- Select the ‘Settings’ icon.
- Press ‘Storage’ under the ‘General’ tab.
- View the amounts of storage available or amounts currently used.


9B. How to clear cookies and cache
- Tap the ‘Browser’ app on the home screen.
- Press the ‘Options’ icon.
- Then, tap ‘Settings’.
- Tap ‘Privacy & Security’.
- Press ‘Clear Cache’.
- Tap ‘OK’.
- Do the same with History, cookies, form data etc.






10A. How to see my data usage
- Open the ‘Apps’ menu.
- Press ‘Settings’.
- Tap ‘Data Manager’ under ‘Networks’.
- View Data Usage. In this setting you can set the usage cycle, see the amount each app uses or the apps that use the most data.


10B. How to tether via USB
- Connect the USB cable to the computer.
- Open ‘Settings’.
- Tap ‘Tethering & Networks’
- Toggle the bar near ‘USB Tethering’


10C. How to adjust USB connection options
- Connect the USB cable to the computer.
- Drag down the header of the screen.
- Press ‘Media Device’.
- Choose the best option for you. You may just use the USB to charge the phone or to transfer media or images.


10D. How to reset to default APN settings
- Press on the ‘Apps’ icon.
- Choose ‘Settings’.
- Press ‘Tethering and Networks’ under the ‘Networks’ tab.
- Tap ‘Mobile Networks’
- Tap ‘Access Point Names’.
- Press the ‘Options’ icon on the upper right side.
- Tap ‘Reset to Default’.
- The original APN settings will now restore.
Each device needs APN settings properly set so they can tap into their network provider. Contact your network provider to find out their APN settings if you get a new device or if yours are not proper.
Tip: If there is little or no data coming through, the APN settings may not be set correctly.




10E. How to use my mobile device as a hotspot
- Open ‘Apps’.
- Press ‘Settings’.
- Open ‘Tethering & Networks’ under ‘Networks’.
- Next, tap ‘Mobile Hotspot’.
- Personalize the name and password of your device hotspot.
- Return to the previous screen or to the top of that screen and toggle the ‘Media Hotspot’ to the ON position.
- Press ‘Yes’ to confirm.
A portable hotspot is a device that is set to give of Wi-Fi to devices that connect to it. To do so, search for the Wi-Fi name of this device and type in the correct password. Each mobile device hotspot can connect with multiple portable devices.
Warning: Your device must have enough access data to share with others without racking up a large bill. Using a device as a hotspot will also quickly drain the it’s battery.




10F. How to to turn on or off Wi-Fi
- Open the ‘Apps’ icon.
- Press ‘Settings’.
- Toggle the Wi-Fi to the ON position.
- Press ‘Wi-Fi’ to open its settings.
- Choose the desired Wi-Fi to connect to.
- Enter the Password. Press on the ‘Show Password’ box to see the password as you type.
- Press ‘Connect’
- Wi-Fi is now connected.



To disconnect from Wi-Fi:
- Press on the connected ‘Wi-Fi’ network.
- Tap ‘Forget’.
- Toggle the Wi-Fi toggle bar to the OFF position to turn off the Wi-Fi search.

10G. How to turn on or off roaming
- Press on the ‘Apps’ menu icon.
- Tap ‘Settings’.
- Press ‘Tethering & Networks’ under ‘Networks’.
- Tap ‘Mobile Networks’
- Press ‘International Data Roaming’.
- Check off the type of roaming you desire.
Suggestion: Since roaming is not included in many network service plans, it may cost the user extra. If you will be needing it often, try adding it to your plan. When roaming, your regular network may not be available so you may need to search for other available networks.



10H. How to add or remove an email address
- Open the ‘Apps’ menu.
- Press ‘Settings’.
- Tap ‘Accounts and Sync’ under the ‘Networks’ tab.
- Press on ‘Add Account’.
- Select the type of account you’d like to add.
- Type in the username.
- Press the ‘Next’ icon.
- Type in the password.
- Press the ‘Next’ icon.
- Tap ‘Accept’
- Press ‘More’ to see the options regarding backup. Check off the box if you so desire.
- Press on the ‘Next’ icon.





To remove an account:
- Open the ‘Apps’ menu.
- Tap ‘Settings’.
- Choose ‘Account & Sync’ under the ‘Networks’ tab.
- Press on the account type to delete.
- Tap on the name of the account.
- Press the ‘Options’ icon on the upper right side.
- Next, Press ‘Remove Account’.
- Then, Press ‘OK’ to confirm.
Please note: Removing an account will only remove data from the device. All that data will still be accessible from the device’s browser or via other computers etc.




10I. How to turn on or off Bluetooth
- Press the ‘Apps’ menu icon.
- Select ‘Settings’.
- Tap the slider near Bluetooth to the ON position.
- Press on the words ‘Bluetooth’.
- Allow the device to be visible by checking off the box near the devices name.
- Press on the nearby device with which to connect.
- Confirm by pressing ‘Pair’ on both devices.
- They are now paired.




To forget a Bluetooth connection:
- Press on the ‘Settings’ icon near the paired devices name.
- Then, press Unpair.
- Click once again on the checkbox near the device’s name to make it invisible.
- Turn off Bluetooth by pressing on the slider towards the top of the screen.


11A. How to enable or disable my own caller ID
- Open the ‘Apps’ menu.
- Tap ‘Settings’.
- Press ‘Call’ under ‘Networks’ section.
- Press ‘Caller ID’.
- Choose ‘Hide Number’ or ‘Show Number’ or ‘Network Default’
*You may block your number from appearing on any single call by simply dialing *67 before placing the call.



11B. How to forward my calls to another phone number
- Open the ‘Apps’ menu..
- Press ‘Settings’.
- Tap ‘Call’ under ‘Networks’ section.
- Tap ‘Additional Settings’.
- Press ‘Call Forwarding’.
- Choose the desired option, such as ‘Always Forward’.
- Enter the number to forward calls to.
- Press ‘Turn On’ to confirm.
- You may change the number or disable call forwarding. Press ‘Always Forward’ and then type in the desired number and press ‘Update. Or press ‘Turn Off’ to disable.
11C. How to bar certain numbers from calling me
- Tap the ‘Apps’ menu..
- Press ‘Settings’.
- Press ‘Call’ under ‘Networks’ tab.
- Tap ‘Call Reject’.
- Press ‘Reject Calls From’.
- Tap the + plus icon on the upper right side.
- Choose the correct option.
- Type in the number.
- Press ‘Save.
- Press the back key and tap ‘Call Reject Mode’.
- Choose ‘Reject Calls on List’.






To undo call reject from a specific number:
- Press ‘Reject Calls From’.
- Tap the recycling bin.
- Press ‘Yes’ to delete the added numbers.


11D. How to add a contact or delete it
To add a new contact to an address book:
Option 1:
- Open the Contacts app.
- Press the Plus (+) icon on the top right of the screen.
- Type in the Name, Phone number and any other information for the new contact.
- Press ‘Save.


Option 2:
- Open the Calling app.
- Type in the number you’d like to add.
- Press ‘New Contact’.
- Add the Name, Email and other information.
- Press ‘Save’.


To delete a contact:
- Open the Contacts app.
- Search for the contact to delete.
- Press on the contact.
- Then, press the ‘Options’ icon.
- Press ‘Delete’.
- Press ‘OK’.

12A. How to see my software version
- Tap on the ‘Apps’ icon.
- Press on ‘Settings’.
- Press ‘About Phone’.
- Open ‘Software info’.
- Read the Software information.



12B. How to update my software version
- Open the ‘Apps’ menu.
- Tap ‘Settings’.
- Press ‘About Phone’.
- Tap ‘Software Updates’.
- Press ‘Update Now’.
- Follow any further prompts.



13A. How to send a text or MMS
To send a text:
- Open the messaging app.
- Press the writing icon to compose a message.
- Add the contact to whom the message will be sent.
- Add the message to the message field.
- Press ‘Send’ icon.


To send a multimedia message (MMS):
- Do steps 1-4.
- Press the paper clip icon to attach media to the message.
- Choose which media to add and from where to find it. In this example we will be doing ‘Image’.
- Select the image.
- Press ‘Send’ icon.




13B. How to delete a text or MMS
- Open the ‘Messaging’ App
- To delete all threads or some threads: Press ‘Delete.

- Deleting an individual message: Hold down the text to delete and press ‘Delete’. Press ‘Delete’.
- To delete an individual thread from inside, press the ‘Options’ icon. Press ‘Delete’. Press ‘OK’


To set up auto delete:
- Open the ‘Messaging App’.
- Press the ‘Options’ icon (3 dots).
- Choose ‘Settings’.
- Press ‘Storage’.
- Check off the box near ‘Delete Old Messages’.
- Press on ‘Text Message Limit’ and set an limit of texts.
- Tap ‘OK’.
- Press on ‘Multimedia Message Limit’ and set an limit of MMS.
- Tap ‘OK’.
