With a name like “Grand Prime”, you would be forgiven for expecting this particular Samsung offering to be pretty huge but, well, it isn’t. The Grand Prime part of the name is there to describe the spectacular 5” HD screen that sits perfectly on the front face.

Product Description
When adding products to the Galaxy range, Samsung keeps them all to a fairly standard aesthetic design. This is not a bad thing. For mid-range releases like the Grand Prime, this still means clean, sharp lines. Instead of the compromises from some manufacturers which often leave non-flagship smartphones looking clunky and unwieldy. But with the Samsung Galaxy J5, Samsung didn’t stop at just making sure it looked good. They’ve also crammed in some tasty hardware under the hood.

We’ve already mentioned the spectacular Full HD 5” display. When matched with the 1.2GHz quad-core processor, means you get to watch 1080p video in glorious quality without any stuttering.

The rear camera is 8MP, and the front is – wait for it – a whopping 5MP. That is a resolution unheard of for front cameras costing much more than the Grand Prime. This means Full HD video capture both front and back. As well as a display worthy of the hi-res selfies and other photos that you’ll undoubtedly be taking daily.
As if all that optical goodness isn’t enough, Samsung has included a Wide Selfie mode. So there’s no more trying to cram 12 people in a space designed for 6. Instead, you can prove to the world how many friends you have with ease!
Connectivity
4G LTE capabilities mean web browsing and social media apps fly along perfectly. Because the phone is unlocked – like all our phones at Mr Aberthon – taking the J5 overseas no longer means having to pay pocket-picking roaming rates. Instead, just pop in a sim from a local carrier and get your data at a fraction of the price of US network providers.
And if you should find yourself lost, GPS will get you home. Or, if you prefer, the 17hr talk time from the huge 2600mAh battery will let someone else guide you with power to spare. Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with tethering capability and Bluetooth 4.0 means all your connectivity options are covered.

You’ll be pleased to know that the Grand Prime can play just about any audio or video format in general use today.
A Final Note about the Samsung Galaxy J5
The Galaxy J7 is very grand indeed and is a prime piece of kit. Nothing is missing that might leave you thinking “What if…”, and there’s everything included to make you think “How good is this?”. The name may be there to drive home the point about the fantastic display, but it goes all the way through this amazing smartphone.

Return Policy
All of the items on the Mr Aberthon website are completely covered by our 14-day return policy.
If you choose to return your device, you will receive the full refund. Mr Aberthon does not charge any additional restocking or handling fees. In order to qualify for the return policy, the product ID number will have to match the number on the device that we sent out (to protect us against scammers and fraud) and the device will need to still be in mint condition.

- 2-3 business day shipping
- Overnight shipping (for orders that are purchased before 2pm EST)
