Make Life A Breeze

Such is the ubiquitous nature of the modern smartphone, that flip top devices such as the Pantech Breeze 4 are now referred to as “voice phones”. Seriously, phones are designed to actually make calls. Yet here has to be distinguished from those where the art of speaking to someone has been relegated to somewhere below Candy Crush and finding the nearest McDonalds.

The Breeze 4 has long been a top seller for Pantech. It expands significantly on the previous Breeze 3 model in terms of design and specification. It has a bigger display, more internal memory, better camera, roaming compatibility and more. All this makes this smart little phone a great choice for the 40% of Americans who just want a phone and not a pocket-draining data plan for features they’ll never use.

What Does It Do Better Than The Breeze 3?

“Better” is a very subjective word. After all, a winning lottery ticket is better than a big chunk of old styrofoam, but which do you throw to a drowning man? The Breeze 4 does things slightly differently to the Breeze 3. Not as a result of being better in the conventional sense, but through the upgrading of many of the internal electronics and they way they are used.

A 3MP camera is the most immediately noticeable upgrade, significantly improved from the 1.3MP of the Breeze 3. A bigger and better display also helps to drive home that particular point. A bigger battery helps to drive the increased spec along nicely so there’s no downgrade in performance. As well as the inclusion of compatibility with the global 2100mhz band. That means that the Breeze 4 carries on being useful long after you’ve stepped outside of our fair shores.

As always with the Breeze family, the flip-top design makes for a very sturdy and rather well protected device. More robust than the fragile smartphones we’re all making allowances for, the Breeze 4 slips easily into a shirt or coat pocket. At just 3.6oz, it won’t feel like you’re carrying a small child around all day. Although, it does have nice big and firm keys that can accommodate those chubby fingers all day long.

Oh, and we nearly forgot, the Breeze 4 will also act as a modem (albeit with restricted speed) for a laptop. If the time comes should your need for one be so urgent that you can’t wait.

So A Worthy Upgrade?

It depends. If calls and texts are as far as your cellphone demands go, then sticking with the Breeze 3 is a fair option. But, if you take the occasional picture or video or do a little bit of web browsing, then the 4 is a fine option for your next phone.

If you plan to travel outside the US, then the Breeze 4 a great choice due to the worldwide compatibility. You would be able to pop in a SIM card from just about any carrier in the world (check first!) and it will work. Even though there’s no data plan needed for the Breeze 4, it’s often cheaper to use a local SIM card to call the USA than it is to pay the eye-watering roaming charges the likes of AT&T or Verizon hit you with at every opportunity. Since we only sell unlocked devices, there’s nothing you need to do to make your Breeze 4 work overseas apart from putting a new SIM in.
