LG G Vista 2 Connectivity

4G is available and compatible with networks in over 190 countries worldwide. The Vista 2 is unlocked like all our smartphones at Mr Aberthon. Therefore, you’ll have no trouble using it on your travels, even if you only go as far as Canada.

Dual-band, 802.11 a/b/g/n wi-fi with WI-Fi Direct, hotspot and DLNA, Bluetooth 4.1 GPS, and NFC make up the connectivity options. It also includes a compass, accelerometer, and proximity sensor adding to an already impressive arsenal of tools.

Looks

It’s impossible to talk about LG smartphones without mentioning how great they look. The Vista 2 is no exception. It looks fabulous from all angles and feels as good in the hand as it appears to the eye.

Display

The Full HD 1080p display has a pixel density of 386ppi. That is nearly 50% higher than the Vista 1 and in line with or better than flagship devices from other manufacturers.

Battery performance is outstanding at 18hrs talk time and 648hrs standby. It has the massive bonus that the battery is user-removable unlike most of the competition. You must have, many times over, get to the stage with a smartphone where it is struggling to hold a charge. You know how frustrating it can feel to be facing spending hundreds of dollars on a completely different phone instead of just being able to pop in a new battery. With Vista 2, there are no such issues.

And now to what’s new, or at least so vastly improved that it qualifies as such.

Processor

A new, octa-core (that’s 8 cores for those who didn’t pay attention in school) processor means unrivaled performance when running multiple apps in the Android OS. Bundle that up together with an upgraded dedicated graphics chip which will keep those Angry Birds effortlessly flying high and fast.

Storage

Internal storage is brought to new heights by the inclusion of 16GB built-in. You can easily add a MicroSD card for expansion if you need it. If music is your thing, the built-in storage will hold about 3000 songs. That is plenty for falling asleep to on a long journey. Being able to add more means videos can also be accommodated with ease.

Cameras

One of the biggest and best of the new Vista 2 hardware, without a doubt, is the cameras. The rear camera is 13MP with Optical Image Stabilization, LED Flash, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama, and HDR options. It also has LGs heralded laser auto-focus for accurate focus and subject tracking. Video at Full HD 1080p resolution can be captured by the rear camera. It has auto-white balance making colors more accurate and clarity massively improved.

All this is supported by a 5MP front camera which outperforms the primary cameras on a lot of smartphones. It even has the added benefit of LG’s own Gesture Shutter. That is where a simple hand gesture allows you to take selfies without struggling to avoid a finger over the lens whilst you reach for the shutter button. If you need more than 1 selfie, making a fist twice for the camera will result in a sequence of time-delayed selfies to be taken.

Size

Despite all this, LH has somehow managed to pack everything into a device that weighs less than 6oz. In case you’re wondering, a can of soda weighs more.
