Q: Do Your Hotspots Come With a Data Plan?

Do you need more advice on where and how to find a hotspot plan? If so, feel free to contact us.
Q: What Is Mr. Aberthon’s Return Policy and Warranty?
A: Mr. Aberthon offers an amazing 14-day return policy. The policy covers all devices that are listed on our website. If you return your device, you will receive the full deposit. Mr. Aberthon does not charge any restocking or handling fees.
In order to be eligible for a return and refund, the product IMEI number will have to match the number on the device that we sent out (to protect us against scammers and fraudsters) and the device must be in original condition.
Q: Are the Devices Unlocked or Locked?
A: Both. The large majority of our devices are unlocked. Every device listed on our website will state in the title whether it is completely unlocked or locked. Unlocked devices will work successfully on all SIM plans throughout the USA. Locked devices will work on the network it is linked to.
Q: Will the Unlocked Hotspots Work With International SIM Cards?
A: Yes, with a few exceptions. You can ask us if your international plan will work with the device. If you purchase the hotspot and the device doesn’t work on your plan, you can send it back within the return period.
Q: Can You List Some of the Networks That Your Hotspots Work With?
A: Our hotspots work with almost all GSM networks around the world. Here are some of the most popular ones that our customers ask about: Vodafone, Claro, O2, Digicel, Telcel, Orange, Telenor, Optus, Tele2, Rogers, Fido, Chatr, Bell, MTS, Virgin, Telus, Koodo, Telstra, and AT&T.

Q: Unlocked or Locked Phone, Which Is Better?
A: Locked phones come with a software code that prevents users from using the phones on other networks. Unlocked phones can be used with any carrier. Just put in a new SIM card and you’re good to go. If you prefer flexibility and don’t mind paying more upfront, unlocked phones may suit you better.
Q: GSM vs. CDMA, Which Is Better?
A: The main difference between GSM (Global System for Mobile Communication) and CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) is that customer info is stored on the SIM card for GSM, while it’s stored in the phone for CDMA. CDMA networks can only be accessed by phones manufactured by a number of whitelisted companies. On a worldwide scale, GSM is widely available, and CDMA is used by fewer carriers and countries.
Q: AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Which Is Better?
A: If 5G is important to you, AT&T is (currently) the best option, followed by Verizon and then T-Mobile. However, Verizon is generally regarded as the best overall, as it has the best coverage from coast to coast. If you’re after unlimited data as a frequent traveler, T-Mobile may be your best bet.
Q: What Third Party Platforms Go to Which Major Carrier?
A: T-Mobile, AT&T, and Verizon are all parent companies to smaller service providers. Here’s a brief listing of third party providers by major carrier network used:
- T-Mobile: Sprint, Tello, Mint, Metro, and Boost Mobile
- Verizon: Visible, Xfinity Mobile
- AT&T (and T-Mobile): Consumer Cellular
Q: What Phone Services Work?
A: Besides the three major carriers, there are plenty of other mobile service providers. Mint is great for those on a budget, and Visible gets extra points for its family plans and unlimited data. If you’re a Pixel user, you may prefer Google Fi. Consumer Cellular caters to seniors.
Q: Where to Find Product Specifications?
A: Just open the page of the device that interests you, scroll down some, and click on the “Specifications” button. We’ve made sure to include all the essential specs so you can make the right decision about your new phone purchase.
